About Us

Transition Vision is managed by John Holman of the Wholemeal Media Company on behalf of the The Balsam Centre.

Programming is produced by The Wholemeal Media Company but, importantly, also a team of voluntary correspondents. These are people who believe that there is something worth celebrating about this area and a need to spread the word about all the things that are going on. If you would like to join this team we would be really pleased to hear from you. Over time we will be adding brief biographies or our team so do revisit this page.

John Holman has over twenty-five years experience of community media projects, previously mainly with Trilith, the rural media charity and ran Farm Radio for seven years under that banner.

The Wholemeal Media Company are keen to work with others in the area who wish to use the media for the benefit of the community. For example, we are currently involved with setting up Radio Sherborne, a project to create a community radio station for Sherborne in Dorset and surrounding area.

We are also involved in a project in Sandford, near Wareham, "Cordite, Clay and Calluna" assisting local people with video recording oral history.

If you have a local project that involves using media we would be pleased to hear from you. Contact us.
